The British architect Tony Fretton has long been renowned for a refined, minimalist language with its own distinctive vocabulary. His award-winning projects combine innovation with a deep understanding of place, culture and community. The practice first gained international recognition with the Lisson Gallery (1990) as well as the Red House in London (2001). Other well-known works include Two Apartments in Groningen (2001), the Fuglsang Art Museum in Lolland (2008), Anish Kapoor’s house in London (2008) or the British Embassy in Warsaw (2009).The two volumes of this definitive monograph cover four decades of work by Tony Fretton Architects.
