This book presents the work of the RILEM TC 251-SRT "Sulfate Resistance Testing". It covers the various aspects developed in the working groups of this Technical Committee, such as sulfate attack mechanisms, field behavior, lab test methods, as well as recommendations for testing, and will thus provide an overview of the current knowledge, standardization and practice on the topic. The volume contributes to a better understanding of ESA and associated degradations, not only in accelerated (lab) tests, but also in various complex field conditions. It provides valuable information and useful recommendations for the establishment of improved test procedures in the field of External Sulfate Attacks and for their future standardization. Academics, testing laboratories, regulators, industrialists, and practitioners will all be able to make use of the recommendations provided by the TC, more specifically the CEN committees.
