Originally published in 1986. Hitherto, most educational managers, including head teachers and senior staff in schools, have been expected to carry out their management tasks without any formal training. Recent initiatives, however, are changing this and all educational managers are now being encouraged to undertake some form of training. This book provides a framework for the study of educational management.
