Eisenstein series are an essential ingredient in the spectral theory of automorphic forms and an important tool in the theory of L-functions. They have also been exploited extensively by number theorists for many arithmetic purposes. Bringing together contributions from areas that are not usually interacting with each other, this volume introduces diverse users of Eisenstein series to a variety of important applications. With this juxtaposition of perspectives, the reader obtains deeper insights into the arithmetic of Eisenstein series.The central theme of the exposition focuses on the common structural properties of Eisenstein series occurring in many related applications that have arisen in several recent developments in arithmetic: Arakelov intersection theory on Shimura varieties, special values of L-functions and Iwasawa theory, and equidistribution of rational/integer points on homogeneous varieties. Key questions that are considered include: Is it possible to identify a class of Eisenstein series whose Fourier coefficients (resp. special values) encode significant arithmetic information? Do such series fit into p-adic families? Are the Eisenstein series that arise in counting problems of this type?

These three volumes comprise the proceedings of a summer school on the Langlands Program held at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques during the three weeks of July 11 - 29, 2022. The twenty-five articles in these proceedings capture the content of lectures given by thirty-one leading experts at the summer school. They showcase the state of the art in some (but not all) aspects of the Langlands program, such as the theory of endoscopy, the trace formula, the local Langlands correspondence, Shimura varieties, and shtukas. In addition, the volumes highlight several emerging unifying themes and new connections that are expected to be influential in the future development of the subject, such as the ideas of geometrization and categorification and the evolving Relative Langlands Program. The broad spectrum of topics reflects the continued growth of the Langlands Program, and the articles are written to help overcome the language barrier that sometimes exists between different subfields, while highlighting the connecting threads that run through different parts of it. These volumes should serve as a useful resource for beginning PhD students as well as more seasoned researchers who are interested in learning about the new directions and developments of this fascinating subject.

The Langlands program has been a very active and central field in mathematics ever since its conception over 50 years ago. It connects number theory, representation theory and arithmetic geometry, and other fields in a profound way. There are nevertheless very few expository accounts beyond the GL(2) case. This book features expository accounts of several topics on automorphic forms on higher rank groups, including rationality questions on unitary group, theta lifts and their applications to Arthur's conjectures, quaternionic modular forms, and automorphic forms over functions fields and their applications to inverse Galois problems. It is based on the lecture notes prepared for the twenty-fifth Arizona Winter School on ""Automorphic Forms beyond GL(2)"", held March 5-9, 2022, at the University of Arizona in Tucson. The speakers were Ellen Eischen, Wee Teck Gan, Aaron Pollack, and Zhiwei Yun. The exposition of the book is in a style accessible to students entering the field. Advanced graduate students as well as researchers will find this a valuable introduction to various important and very active research areas.

This is a collection of lecture notes from the minicourses in the December 2018 Langlands Workshop: Endoscopy and Beyond. The volume combines seven introductory chapters on trace formulas, local Arthur packets, and beyond endoscopy. It aims to introduce the endoscopy classification via a basic example of the trace formula for SL(2), explore the more refined questions on the structure of Arthur packets, and look beyond endoscopy following the suggestions of Langlands, Braverman-Kazhdan, Ngo, and Altuğ. The book is a helpful reference for undergraduates, postgraduates, and researchers.
