Well-known predisposing factors for inhibitor formation are genetic features of factor VIII,which include large deletions,nonsense mutations or intrachromosomal recombinations [5, 23].Also, ethnic groups other than Caucasians (e.g.Africans) have a higher risk of developing inhibitors.Other risk factors are presumably de- ved from the immune system. Schwerpunktthemen des Symposiums waren die HIV-Infektion, insbesondere die Entwicklung der HIV-Epidemiologie Hämophiler, die pädiatrische Hämostaseologie, die Synovitis, die Thrombophilie: APC-Cofaktor, die Hepatitis C, Hämophilie und Virusinfektion. In zahlreichen freien Redebeiträgen und Posterdiskussionen wurden weiter angrenzende Themengebiete und Kasuistiken diskutiert.

Der nunmehr vorliegende Band des 26. Hamophilie-Symposiums fand wiederum unter Mitwirkung zahlreicher namhafter Internisten, Dermatologen, Transfusionsmediziner, Padiater und Immunologen statt. Schwerpunktthemen des Symposiums waren die HIV-Infektion, insbesondere die Entwicklung der HIV-Epidemiologie Hamophiler, die Sicherheit von Faktorenkonzentraten, die Hamophilie-Therapie (Gelenkersatz), Behandlung der Hamophilie in der Padiatrie, Thrombophilie: pradiktiver Wert von Aktivierungsmarkern. In zahlreichen freien Redebeitragen und Posterdiskussionen wurden weiter angrenzende Themengebiete und Kasuistiken diskutiert.

In diesem Buch sind die Beiträge zum 28. Hämophilie-Symposion 1997 zusammengetragen. Schwerpunktthemen sind Virusinfektion, Synovitis-Pathogenese und Behandlung, Thrombophilie: Prothrombinmutation und Pädiatrische Hämostaseologie. Zahlreiche freie Redebeiträge und Poster zur Hämophilie und angrenzenden Gebieten runden diese Zusammenstellung ab.

In diesem Band wurden die Beitrage zum 29. Hamophilie-Symposium 1998 zusammengetragen. Schwerpunktthemen sind HIV-Infektionen, Hemmkorperhamophilie, Hamophiliebehandlung 2000, medikamantos induzierte Thrombophilie und padiatrische Hamostaseologie. Zahlreiche freie Redebeitrage und Poster zur Hamophilie und angrenzenden Gebieten runden diese Zusammenstellung ab.
