Die Hauptfrage dieser Arbeit lautet: Wie und inwiefern rezipiert Schopenhauer Gracians Ideen in seinem Werk, mit anderen Worten, welche Einflusse hat Gracians Buch "e;Oraculo manual y arte de prudencia"e; auf Schopenhauers Moralistik bzw. Moralphilosophie? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, ist es sinnvoll, eine inhaltliche Analyse auf vergleichende Weise vorzunehmen und die dargestellte Lebensweisheit aus inhaltlicher und sprachlicher Perspektive zu untersuchen. Arthur Schopenhauer, der bekannte deutsche Philosoph und gro e Denker, hat sich in seinem Leben sehr viel mit Moralistik beschaftigt. Fur Schopenhauers philosophisches Werk ist Gracian anscheinend sehr wichtig gewesen. Aber um das Verhaltnis zwischen Gracian und Schopenhauer zu untersuchen, speziell zwischen Gracians Handorakel und Schopenhauers Aphorismen, gibt es bis heute nur wenige Studien.
