Im zweiten Schritt wird die inhaltliche Konstante im Werk Dürrenmatts analysiert. Der Autor sieht diese darin, dass Dürrenmatt die Frage nach dem Sinnverlust in der modernen Gesellschaft auf allen Ebenen thematisiert.
