Guide to the use of herbs from Ayurvedic perspective. How to balance your constitution and practice self-healing.

The Chinese Herbalist''s Handbook is a new tool for prescribing and modifying herbal formulas. This book makes the practice of herbs easily accessible to Chinese medical practitioners and students. For practitioners who rely upon patent herbal formulas, but would like to custom-tailor formulas to each patient''s unique needs, this book demystifies the process, with instructions and exhaustive cross-referencing and indexing.

The traditional symbols of the Usui System of Reiki take a key position in this unique tradition. Without them and their mantra''s, Reiki is not possible. The dedication rituals necessary for the practice of Reiki as well as the complex healings can only be accomplished on the foundation of Usui symbols with the certainty and effectiveness one expects from Reiki. Written in a remarkably precise and lucid style by two foremost authors on Reiki, this compendium reveals indispensable information of tremendous spiritual value.

A journey towards the origins of Reiki as it evolved from Mikao Usui''s first inspirations, showing you how it was traditionally taught and practiced in Japan in the mid-thirties of the last century, including many valuable practical applications and cultural background including the traditional Master-disciple relationship, Dr. Hayashi''s lectures in the Reiki seminars, natural body cleansing and Byosen (energetic empathy).

Provides information on herbal medicine, natural foods, and home remedies

Standard dictionaries and grammar books do not offer adequate language when it comes to describing invisible mind impressions, internal body sensations, and altered states of consciousness. Newly awakened interest in psychics, mystics, shamans, mediums, their philosophy of life and their experiences within invisible dimensions has extended everywhere. Organizations, seminars, weekend workshops, classes, and therapies in para¬psychology and humanistic psychology spring up over night. Medical doctors and researchers in holistic health are assembling a startling body of evidence that intimately connects parapsychological theories with both physical and mental well-being. One may now "openly" speak about one's new attitudes, changes in beliefs, successful alternative healings, meditative and psychic experiences, and one's personal quest of a more qualitative lifestyle, without "under the breath" ridicule and harrassment. This is a global shift in consciousness occurring in all levels of awareness. Legions of individuals and other living organisms are beginning to sense the surge of a consciousness shift within themselves, from the ant and the tree, to the layman and government official. Some name this shift in consciousness the "age of transformation." Whatever one names it, it is here! Changes....change....changed and semantic confusion! People are groping for words to express new dimensional concepts, sensations, and experiences with third-dimensional language. Instructors, authors, psychics, and laymen in this field are coining new words and giving standard words new meanings in trying to explain the variety of experiences of other levels of consciousness and new inner levels of awareness. Mankind has not yet evolved a language or a communication system that can adequately explain these new experiences, sensations, and concepts. This is quite normal in a pioneer field"but these descriptive terms are multiplying faster than research and study can evolve. The written media system is flooded with newly coined words. The aim of this volume is to make the groping for words easier when describing noncustomary experiences and theories with the customary language. Any situational shift requires a shift in language variety. This book contains a concise grouping of the present day shift in language variety and a comparison of this new language variety to words and phrases used in the past in similar philosophies, activities, and inner-dimensional experiences. To accomplish this I have recorded words and phrases from 2000 B.C., the I Ching, to interviews of new-age workers such as seen on the "Phil Donahue Show." Terms used in the mystical and parapsychological field over the years are defined, described, annotated, or theorized. This literary reference volume is a twofold book in which a textbook interweaves with a dictionary. The "same wordage" synchronizes a dictionary, a textbook, and a psychic skill development course. This means no unnecessary reading of valueless words. The material is concise and to the point. Every word is important! You could say, this volume is a shift in a literary style of writing to accommodate the new global shift in consciousness. It is a tool for an accelerated style of learning! As a teacher in this field for over four decades, Dr. Bletzer found that students drawn to the study of parapsychology were people of all ages and all walks of life. She observed this human potential movement and consciousness shift becoming "alive" among her students with an accelerated speed in the later years of her life. From the sixteen hundred students she taught to develop psychically, the amount of time to acquire good psychic skills lessened by half during the last few years. She was finding that the public demand for information relating to parapsychology was coming faster than anyone could teach it. She found a strong desire to understand the multitude of new terms and new meanings for standard words used to describe new and rediscovered states of awareness and experiences as well as a concrete need for a comprehensive study of the parapsychological field. Human beings all over the world will continue to seek means to transform themselves under the new vibrations of the Aquarian Age and the common-ground on terminology given in this book will make this easier. With no standard textbooks in this field, during her many years of teaching metaphysics and psychic development, she researched and prepared all her class lectures, experiments, and course material. With knowledge gleaned from this research, she taught psychic development, and received feedback from the students being instructed. She also read and scanned hundreds of additional books written in the past and present. Words and phrases were taken, not only from these books, but also from magazines, pamphlets, newspaper articles, lectures, seminars, television and radio programs, record jackets, and even from herb tea boxes. Therefore one will find colloquialisms, as well as technical and philosophical terms. The bibliography at the end of the volume describes many of these sources. Because astrology, demonology, psychology, mythology, and many religions have their own glossary, these words are not reprinted in this volume, unless the term frequently interfaces with parapsychology. This book is intended to serve as a reference tool for the beginning student, the researcher, and the professional. First, consider this volume as an easy-to-use, comprehensive, annotated, technical dictionary, complete with cross references to ninety percent of the entries. The cross references add to the meaning, description, annotation, or sometimes simply presents another person's viewpoint to the reader. Although the definitions emphasize simplicity and clarity, I tried to retain and reflect the beauty and profoundness given by the mystic, philosopher, and parapsychologist. The annotations are concise and to the point in order to get all the categories in one volume. This gives a holistic view of the parapsychology field. One may feel there are too many relating subjects, but once one is open to this field, he or she will be exposed to many of these other fields. There are guidelines as to the format used in the dictionary wordage. It is suggested that one turn to the categories of his or her interest to see what terms exist. In spite of acceleration of popular growth in this field, one can quickly acquaint her or himself with the many words which have recently come into usage. Also, consider this volume as a condensed, comprehensive, technical, para-psychology textbook, complete with "do-it-by-yourself" instructions. Because the entries are "categorized" under their particular field and in alphabetical order, one can very quickly find much information about the subject of their choice. And for a full basic, but in capsule form, education in this field, there are instructions outlining graduated steps for not only the individual just becoming interested but also the long-time instructor.Language varies in different cultures, time periods, and even in small groups of one cause. It varies because the users of language change it to adapt to their needs. Words are alive, powerful, and constantly growing. As a dictionary researcher, Dr. Bletzer felt it her duty to record the words as they were used, not to pass judgment and offer corrections. She tried to keep the definition, description, or annotation as unvarnished and natural as possible so one can more easily understand the philosophy, or a new dimension, that may be completely foreign to him. The overall aim is to make some kind of common-ground, melding, psychic-knowledge-pot, which will bring together time periods and cultures showing similarities and differences in psychic skills and philosophies.Language today is being individually designed, different meanings and different parts of speech are being given to standard words, and old words are being revitalized. The reason for this is because there is no common-ground, melding, psychic-knowledge-pot. Humankind needs a synthesization of communication in this discipline today more than ever before. Hosts of individuals are finding an inner desire to increase their psychic skills in order to better understand themselves, and to understand how and why the planet is bringing a consciousness shift. Psychic skills and parapsychological information are "tools" to help understand this consciousness shift and these accelerated times. They are also good tools for those who wish to add to the shift in the earth's consciousness. The hope is that in some small way this volume will aid compatibility, co-operation, and conformity in parapsychological affairs among psychics, humanistic psychologists, holistic health practitioners, scientists, researchers, ministers, meditators, etc."and lessen the semantic confusion! As you study from these references, the hope is that you find it as comforting and educational in learning that man, as a universal creature, has been using psychic skills, holistic health therapies, etheric world intelligences, etc., in other time periods and in every culture of the world. Confucius said: "Without knowing the force of words, it is impossible to know men."

To be healed implies physical and mental strength and freedom from disease. The dis-ease we encumber in our own being is a result of past programming. It has been my experience that this past programming can be purified through the process of guided meditation. For that reason, I have assembled this collection of healing meditations from a varied group of guides including psychologists, therapists, physicians, and others who offer imagery techniques as part of their lives or careers. Each imagery can be perceived as a prayer. You are simply asking for and receiving what your unlimited higher self has to offer. Images can produce powerful emotions and unlock psychological blocks. As you turn inward, you may find light, truth, and love, which may be different from your normal conscious state. You may also discover darkness, deceit, and fear, which in this world of duality is only a mask covering the higher states of consciousness.Love is a powerful healer that can be revealed or enhanced through meditation. Creating a loving atmosphere is beneficial to those who are physically ill. Imagery can also help the body boost its immune system, increase the production of chemicals that encourage healing, and generally relax and promote the peace and love an individual needs to aid in the healing process.Allowing yourself to love yourself has surprising consequences. It helps you become free, break down psychological walls, be fearless, and be strong. It is only after you love yourself that you can begin to heal.Visualization has also been found to enhance learning, build self-confidence, and improve athletic ability. It is not magic and it is not supernatural. Guided imagery is a simple matter of relaxing, uncluttering your mind, and focusing your thoughts clearly on what you wish to accomplish. It helps create a more receptive environment to help you achieve your desired results.During my many years of practicing meditation and unlocking the secrets of my own psyche, I have found that what we concentrate on, we receive. If a person concentrates on “not getting” negative results, negative results still occur because the focus is on the negative. On the other hand by focusing on the positive, one will move in that direction, receiving positive results. This book is filled with positive.Another important healing benefit of meditation is the release of stress. When stress is not released, it can be internalized and cause psychological and physical damage. Guided meditation is one of the many tools available for teaching people how to let go of tension, anger, fear, anxiety, and other stress-producing emotions that cause illness. This book will help you change and improve your life by guiding you to your own inner strength. Such strength is innate in each one of us, and while many people rely on outside influences, persons, or materials to achieve changes and growth, all the tools you need are present within you. Guided imagery helps you see yourself the way you wish to be. As you practice visualization, you become more and more comfortable with a new reality for yourself. For example, if you are hesitant about speaking in front of an audience, you can visualize successful speeches and see yourself in front of an audience in a calm, controlled manner. Of course, you still must actually practice speaking in addition to the imagery. But the imagery will enhance your progress and success. These meditations are given to you with sincere love and hope that they will help enhance your personal abilities and mental powers. Allow yourself to let go and enjoy these experiences. You are all the things you want to be. Guided imagery will help you discover that.

My name is Serapis. It is usually associated with ancient mystery schools, but my energy is much older than that. I was worshipped as the god Osiris in Atlantis, as Hermes Trimegestus and Thoth, and have been active on this planet for far longer than that.Obviously, the activities of the mystery schools were not disclosed, and that has led to legends about the teachings and initiation rites. These rites were deliberately taxing in order to generate public awe and respect for initiates, but the main reason for such vigorous testing was to change the self-image of new initiates. They believed that passing the tests marked them out as having special psychic abilities and knowledge. This belief, of course, made the acquisition of such knowledge and abilities much easier. Most initiates didn’t realize that everyone had these abilities and that only ignorance kept them dormant. All could ascend but only the initiated believed that they could. That brings us to you. You may not see yourself as an initiate in a modern day mystery school, but you are. Most of what the initiates of old were taught is generally available in books, including this one. Also, the same types of instruction in psychic abilities are readily available today. If this surprises you, remember that most of the population in earlier days was illiterate and ruled by what you would call primitive superstition. You have another advantage over the old mystery school initiates. In those days, ascension was a personal and individual experience. But nowadays, the entire planet is gearing up for a planetary ascension. So that you can all make the necessary changes in a short time, many beings such as myself are paving the way for you to keep pace with the planet’s progress. I am here to talk about ascension: your imminent ascension, and not some far distant historical event. I am talking about changes you are already undergoing and which will continue in the coming years. In this book, we’ll examine personal and planetary ascension, how it affects you, and how you can make the process go more smoothly. This book is a guide to the new terrain, what you will find, and who you will meet. It introduces you to a new vocabulary which will allow you to converse with your fellow travelers with the minimum of misunderstanding, although you must realize that your particular journey is unique.I am using this particular channel because he is of my energy, and therefore our frequencies match closely. Also, he has an extensive technical background, and while this book is not at all technical, I require some precision in describing how energy is manipulated. Off the physical plane, the laws of energy are different, but there are still laws and I want to convey a sense of them with clarity.Use this book as a means for informing your intellect of the process of ascension. Your spirit-self will ensure that the other levels of your being also get the message, because ascension is a “community effort.” Your body consciousness and emotional energy are capable of direct cognition without intermediate language. Rest assured that they are getting the message also.So please read about the process, reflect on it, and discuss it. But do not think for a moment that the written word is all you are getting. At the spirit level, you have all worked with me in the vast Now-point, although you would think of it as a past-life activity. We know each other, and have built up a bond of trust and love over long periods. If you go forward with this book, be aware that knowing its contents alone will change your life and is therefore a com-mitment to your personal ascension. This book is a practical guide to a process that is already under way. It is about metaphysics in the true meaning — the physics behind physics — and describes experiments that you can perform in the safety of your own aura. Notice also that it’s not called THE Ascension Handbook. It’s only one of many such books that are appearing at this point in the process. The book is in two parts. Part One lays the groundwork and introduces you to energy fields. I have worded it so that no special knowledge is required. We also briefly review the events leading to where your planet is now. Part Two is practical: what you can do to accelerate your personal ascension, and thereby the planetary ascension. Because the planet is really one large energy field, each step you take towards personal ascension not only makes it easier for you, but also for everyone else. You are, therefore, a leader by example. We know that you’ve been bombarded with metaphysical books since the printing press was invented, but never before has this type of book been so important. Planetary ascension as fact is not negotiable, and a time frame has been set, one that doesn’t leave much time for debate. So please treat this with the same urgency that we who are off the physical plane do. As Lightworkers, you have prepared for this process since you first started to incarnate on this planet. Our purpose here is to guide the final push — your personal ascension. But, however much we push, a conscious pull is needed on your part. Share this material with your friends, form groups to play with the exercises, talk about ascension to whomever will listen (and to those who won’t). It’s important that everyone knows what’s happening, otherwise we may face mass confusion. You are collectively entering the glorious conclusion of a glorious experiment, and the stage is set. The entire universe is poised in anticipation, so play your parts with joy.— I am Serapis

At some point, we all seek to “transform” our lives. It may be a spiritual or physical transformation, the desire for a new career, or a change in relationship. Whatever the challenge of your transformation, this collection of guided meditations offers you many paths to facilitate that change, improve the quality of your life, move through your daily existence, and tap into your higher self. The higher self consists of an inner core of pure beauty which is a descendant of Divine Energy. This beauty exists deep within and can be perceived as a hollow cylinder of vibration and light. The desire to see causes the reflection, and at that point loving light penetrates the perception of fearful darkness and transformation occurs, by turning inside out, or reversing.Creative imagery is a tool that can change the inner knowledge and perceptions by allowing you to see the outside world from within first. Transformation occurs during the changing of the guard, or reality, from Nothing to Something or Something to Nothing.Meditations for Transformation provides wonderful alternative realities from a cross-section of professionals including, physicians, psychologists, healers, teachers, and authors who have found ways to help themselves, and the people they love, attain inner change and growth.I was first introduced to guided imagery at a workshop called “Healing Your Inner Child” taught by Margot Escott. My journey into healing and opening up to the love that is available to all of us inspired me to pursue many paths of personal growth, such as self-hypnosis, Tai-Chi, yoga, visualization, chanting and other explorations. While experiencing these avenues, I found I was growing into a more calm, serene person. Also, many athletes achieve peak performance in their particular sports through practicing meditative visualization. Professional golfers and tennis players are among those who use these techniques to improve their games. Visualizing that you can successfully manage a situation helps you confront and master that situation. Visualize yourself already accomplishing a goal, and your mind and body assume you have. Certain thoughts produce related emotions. If you think sad thoughts, you experience unhappiness. If you think fearful thoughts, you experience anxiety. If you think joyful thoughts, you experience happiness. For example, think about your kitchen; close your eyes and imagine what the room looks like. Next, see if you can remember all the colors in your kitchen. Now imagine taking a piece of lemon, slicing it, putting it into your mouth, and taking a bite. Did you start to salivate? This is an example of intended thought into imagery. You now see that you do have the ability to change your reality. When you enter this new reality family, you may discover your thoughts no longer control you, but that you are able to control your thoughts. The intent comes from center. Just as a potter molds his clay, you are capable of transforming yourself in any manner you choose. You can change your programming. You can develop greater self-awareness and self-love and realize your full potential as a Spiritual Light Being having a human experience. It is my hope that you will become the person you were truly meant to be. May you obtain inner peace, love, serenity, and happiness for the good you accomplish by guiding yourself and others. Good luck and happy images!

The true author of this book is the Archangel Ariel and it is channeled through Tashira Tachi-ren. It is a brief but powerful guide for lightworkers. From the introduction:“When we look at you, we see you as vast, multidimensional beings. There’s just a little bit of you in this body, thinking that you are all of it. Some of you are getting an inkling that’s not so. We see you at all dimensions, in the vastness of who you are. From our viewpoint, because you are reading this, you are a Lightworker and you are here with a job to do. You are here to assist in the transition of planet Earth into Light. You’ve done it countless times before and you are an expert in your field. This book presents you with a model which describes what’s going on in this process for this planet. It is not truth. It is not real, because when you are attempting to describe a multidimensional, non-linear model, it’s impossible to describe it in the English language. But we’re going to do our very best. If at times it bounces around, bear with it, because the process itself is not exactly linear. It’s a lot more like music. Now the only way we can present this model is linearly. We have attempted to do it non-linearly and everyone goes brain-dead. We hope that you can feel the shifts you’re going through. We know that if your mental body can say, “Ah, this is part of eighth level of Lightbody,” it eases the secret fears. There is a need for this informa¬tion to go out because the fear level is so very high, especially com¬ing from the physical and mental bodies. If you know what’s happen¬ing to you and know that it’s part of a coherent process, then you feel less crazy.”
