Three stories from the infamous One Man, One Adventure series published by Bonelli in 1976, each focusing on a notable central character with a unique and fascinating past embroiled on an adventure during notable periods of history. This volume includes the never-before translated “The Man from the Nile,” “The Man from Mexico,” and “The Man from the Swamp,” all told with Toppi’s groundbreaking and inimitable style.

Captured in the heart of Palombia by Chahuta Indians and sold to exotic animal traffickers, a marsupilami lands in the port of Antwerp in the 1950s. Managing to escape, he arrives in the suburbs of Brussels and is taken in by François, a young boy who is a fan of animals and whose daily life is far from easy. François is picked on by the local kids, particularly because his father had been a German soldier, an unforgivable crime in those postwar years; a fact he and his mother cannot escape. Both are ostracized for their connection to past events. This sometimes dark but always hopeful adventure by renowned author Zidrou and celebrated gallery artist Frank Pe portrays a beautiful friendship between a boy and his beast. The authors pay a superb tribute to the fabulous animal created by Franquin in the series Spirou et Fantasio while denouncing the mistreatment and trafficking of exotic animals. A magnificent adventure whose heart is the extraordinary friendship that can unite a child with an animal.

The Beast has been captured and finds himself in the pound, waiting to be transferred to Antwerp Zoo. Little François hasn't given up on helping him—but how? He doesn't yet know it, but he can count on the help of class bully Fut-fut, who is starting to feel remorseful for having harassed his classmate. However, he will have to be wary of Professor Sneutvelmans, an undisputed expert in cryptozoology (a new scientific discipline of his own invention) who is convinced that the strange animal is proof of an ancient myth. Everyone will embark on a vast chase through the streets of Brussels. The conclusion of this two-part novel by renowned author Zidrou and celebrated gallery artist Frank Pe features spectacular scenes full of nostalgic melodrama. A heartwarming, unforgettable story that is visually well realized.

An exciting new space opera of blockbuster proportions from the creators of Warship Jolly Roger and On Mars! After an interplanetary religious war that devastated the galaxy 200 years earlier, four gods nicknamed the “Great Quartet"" decided to build a new empire. They established a violent and repressive dictatorship, annihilating all forms of religion other than that devoted to their own worship. The Divine Legions were created to enforce this order, but despite their surveillance, different species of aliens continued to secretly worship their ancient gods. This situation gave rise to a galactic market in alien relics linked to many now-banned religions. That means smuggling and the birth of Relic Hunters. Aspiring up-and-comer Xia, a human, and Little Mercur, a masked alien of unknown origin, are among the best relic hunters in the galaxy, and they’re joined for a new mission by Vitellius, a former centurion who deserted the Divine Legions.

Who is really in control? And can anyone truly claim a planet on the verge of forced evolution? In 2132, life on Earth has reached the limits of sustainability. Colonizing Mars has become our only option, and the construction of such a significant enterprise has required massive resources and manpower. The most cost-efficient solution to this requirement is conscripted labor provided by convicted felons—early access to humanity’s future homeworld, but in exchange for the back-breaking and perilous work of constructing the damn thing. Officer Jasmine Stenford is sent to Mars and sentenced to conscripted labor for a wrongful death committed on her watch. With little defense against the corruption on Earth, she has no idea what sort of nightmare awaits her on the red planet . . .This complete edition features the complete story, as well as a 48-page production sketchbook by artist Grun drafted as a prisoner diary.

Continuing Florent Maudoux’s celebrated series.

Meanwhile, Chance takes matters into her own hands, descending into hell in an uneasy alliance with her rival Ange. As the dean of the Saint-Angelus Academy plots to blame the FEAH Academy for the outbreak, the students must battle monsters, confront personal demons, and uncover hidden truths about their pasts. In a not-too-distant future, climate change continues to ravage the planet, and the disappearance of insects has led to the end of pollination, rendering vast areas of land infertile. A survival dynamic has emerged—mobile islands called "monads" have formed, and people strive to help each other; each group with its own customs, traditions, and ways of life.Jenny is a rather solitary researcher trying to restore the world as it once was. She seeks to recover bee DNA to clone and re-create pollinating insects. However, she will come to realize that this is impossible—the old world no longer exists, and a new one must be built. She will understand that instead of looking to the past, she must work collectively with other monad tribes, prioritizing mutual aid and collaboration.Created by multiple-award winning comics wonderkind Mathieu Bablet, Silent Jenny is, at its heart, a "world-building book"— inventing vehicles, character factions, landscapes, and crafting this universe down to the smallest detail to make it as tangible as possible. An optimistic story that presents solutions to climate change—no eco-anxiety, just hope and innovation.

Liberty is a sweeping historical graphic novel by Jordan Mechner that dramatizes the true story of the covert French operation to aid the American Revolution, blending espionage, diplomacy, and revolutionary fervor.Set in 1776, Liberty follows the daring exploits of Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, a flamboyant French playwright turned secret agent. While an outnumbered American rebel army struggles to defend New York against British forces, Beaumarchais orchestrates a clandestine mission from Europe to funnel weapons and support to the colonists. His efforts—fraught with political intrigue, betrayal, and high-stakes diplomacy—reveal a hidden chapter of history where art, ambition, and revolution collide. This story is especially poignant and relevant as America celebrates its 250th year of independence, due in no small part to the events depicted in this book.

Love is never lost . . . Fan is a young Chinese engineer who lost his wife in a Japanese bombing raid in 1937. Mingfeng was a popular performer at the local opera, and he is devastated by the loss. Distraught, he builds an extraordinary automaton that replaces her at the theater. When those potentates take notice of the mysterious beauty, suspicions and desires start to grow. Mix in an American airman and the tensions of war, and things build to an explosive finale. Masterfully mixing a snapshot of war-torn China with the philosophical sci-fi questions of a Philip K Dick novel, Twin Lotuses is a beautifully illustrated story capturing an ugly time and the flicker of hope, love, and ambition that shone through it all.

A new life begins for Marion when her mother inherits an old family house and decides to make it their new home. With its own private beach and a view of the sea, the house has all the makings of a happy new life. But when Marion discovers strange rock carvings nearby, and learns that a sinister-looking lighthouse watchman may be part of a local legend come to life, it becomes clear that things are not as idyllic as they seemed.

Author Edouard Cour revisits one of the greatest Greek myths by painting the often-heroic Herakles as, well . . . somewhat of a jerk. Crude and stubborn at times, in little glimpses we meet a man—half-human, after all—with a psychology more complex than he appears, entangled in guilt over the ghosts who have haunted him since childhood. A mournful sadness seizes him as he crosses the fleeting silhouettes of a woman and her three children. "Friends or foe, all those who cross his path end up stiff and worm food," comments Linos, the ghost of his childhood music teacher.Brimming with pathos and dark humor, this portrait of Herakles is a graphic whirlwind leaving little respite and often revealing beautiful surprises. This third and final volume wraps up the epic trilogy and sees the titular hero at last accept his due rewards for a lifetime of deeds both good and ill.
