Glass is the debut poetry title from Emily Cooper, a writer and poet from Ireland. Cooper’s poetics masterfully create a compelling space that deliberately excludes wide views—instead bringing her pen up close to a dilapidated house in a small rural town with its own personality.

In Strangers, Rebecca Tamás explores where the human and nonhuman meet, and why this delicate connection just might be the most important relationship of our times. From ‘On Watermelon’ to ‘On Grief’, Tamás’s essays are exhilarating to read in their radical and original exploration of the links between the environmental, the political, the folkloric and the historical. From thinking stones, to fairgrounds, from colliding planets to transformative cockroaches, Tamás’ lyrical perspective takes the reader on a journey between body, land and spirit—exploring a new ecological vision for our fractured, fragile world.

In 'The Yak Dilemma', Supriya Kaur Dhaliwal ventures out of the mountain ranges of Palampur and across vast distances of land and sea. From scenes playing out through Dublin windows to ruminating on wearing a Sadri in the West, these innovative mediations are as much about personal identity as they are a testament to the human spirit's drive to cross territory and forge a 'map' of our own. Kaur Dhaliwal's map, if she has one, is without architecture or foundations; 'Four walls don't make a home or a house-it takes some doing', she writes in 'Ghazal on Living in a Hotel in Downtown Cairo'. She is part of a dynamic new generation of poets pushing the medium into exciting new areas by questioning the notion of 'place' and its effect on our bodies-including the human spirit and memory. Uprooted and unsettled, her lyrical voice generously outlines 'home' as something other than a physical place. 'The Yak Dilemma' is a remarkable poetic journey, its words create new territories by carefully revealing the fragile spaces that fall in between.

Why be a slug? Slugs: A Manifesto explores a creature that survives by being disgusting. Abi Palmer is an artist and writer. She uses film, text, sculpture and sensory intervention to explore sick bodies, viscous textures & ecological landscapes. Expanded edition! Includes extracts from sluggy talks with Zarina Muhamad (The White Pube, Lola Olufemi and Christie Costello (Bare Minimum Collective) and mycologist, Nathan Smith!

Hyperlove burns with frustration and fervour as Naomi Morris explores heteronormative ideals, romantic happily-ever-afters and the historical oppression of women and their right to agency and expression. Yet Hyperlove isn’t constrained to a sense of personal storytelling. In this incisive lyric essay, the creative mixes with the critical, as Morris looks to the mystics, to pop culture, to writing itself, dislocating categories of love and forming a radical and original exploration of desire as a woman.
