In the mid-1970s, A Course in Miracles was published. It is a self-study course designed to help you undo your conscious and unconscious beliefs that you are separate from God, so that you can return to your natural State of Boundless Love, Peace, and Joy. Since then, it has become the ‘Holy Book’ of millions of people worldwide who have experienced a loving transformation to a more peaceful experience. Practicing A Course in Miracles and The Way of A Course in Miracles are practical companions to The Message of A Course in Miracles, the first volume of the Plain Language A Course in Miracles. Where MACIM lays out the theoretical foundation of the Course, PACIM provides a year of practical lessons to transform your experience to peace, and WACIM provides answers to common questions. These volumes also contain mentoring notes from the translator, a student and teacher of the Course since 1984. Together, these books offer a clear means for attaining lasting inner peace.

Most of us have lived through painful, humiliating or traumatic experiences, leaving us haunted and conditioned by reactions that trap us in ongoing cycles of feeling hurt and hurting others. And on the wider political scale, we have obviously yet to learn the art of responding well to the hurts of terrorism, exploitation, or more local conflicts of interest. Either we resort to reciprocal violence, or claim too readily the status of innocent victim. The book begins by looking at three predominant negative responses. It then draws on a variety of traditions from the author’s own Buddhist Christian perspective, exploring how deep meditation can help take us beyond the negative narratives of hurt. The author finds ambivalent but broadly positive images in childhood innocence and the tragicomic fool, and urges the importance of a radical and unconditional forgiveness of self and others that is grounded in both Buddhist Emptiness and the risen Christ. By these means, the habit of accusation that so easily dominates self and society can give way to humour and mutual wonder.

The Gospel of the King of the Jews brings to life the characters and their background in a modern version of ‘the greatest story ever told’. It depicts Judas as a simple shepherd, who is tricked by the High Priests into leading them to his Master. This fascinating portrayal, separating the Christ of faith from the Jesus of history, is founded on vast erudition and thorough scholarship of the Jewish, Christian, Roman and Greek milieu. It will stimulate and excite all those genuinely interested in Jesus and his life and times.

Ian McCall has taught meditation and self realisation since 1987 and studied and practised with many esoteric teachers. Early experiences of awakening gave him a sense of the oneness of everything in this life; but this is a practical as well as an esoteric look at self realisation or enlightenment. Ian sees awakening as the birthright of all and the text is stripped of dogma and hierarchy, as far as is possible. The message is that all is not lost for the world, and movement from suffering is not only a possibility, but a simple change starting here, now. The way is simple and does not require years of practice. Having practised Zen Buddhism, Ian felt its essence was lost in tradition, doctrine and a false hierarchy of "enlightenment" and sees his message as a return to the freedom and egality of its mythical founders. It goes beyond ideas of Zen to our own well being here and now.

From the author of Awakening, this is the book that the world has been waiting for. At the dawn of this new world age, many people across the globe are awakening to their own individuality and spirituality, asking, What am I here for? You are here to advance your soul. For centuries, we have incarnated with the mission to advance, only to forget and be distracted by earthly ego and self-doubt. Millions of us have lost our capacity for joy. We have forgotten how to love. You are a soul on a karmic journey. A soul has been given chance after chance, life after life, to get it right. The world that you have lived in so far is an illusion. All of the striving, doing and collecting, an expression of not knowing what you are here to achieve. At this dawning of our new age, millions of us feel a gap. Love, is the answer. By advancing your soul, you will open up your power for the whole of humanity. As you emerge to find and express your true self, you will become a channel for abundance, peace and joy. Foreword by Dr Robert Holden, expert on happiness.

This book correlates teachings from several profound texts, namely the spiritual philosophy of A Course in Miracles and a rendition of The Gospel of Thomas, a collection of Sayings from the time of Jesus. The hidden keys unearthed from these combined resources will help us delve deeper into the metaphysical meanings of life, and strive to answer universal spiritual questions that have eluded mankind's awareness for generations. We will endeavor to understand our purpose in life and our reason for being. Our aim is to methodically decipher how to draw closer to our Source, and to understand how to overcome past obstacles that have prevented that joyous reunion from occurring. As we embark upon the path of forgiveness our perceptions will change as to what we consider real and important. We become joyfully reacquainted with a different Guide than we have traveled with in the past, One who will smooth our way and make straight our path. With these keys in hand, we will gain the knowledge that enables us to see beyond form to the formless, and unite once again with the flawless Vision that sees our True Self as it really is.

The book breaks all the rules about treating alcoholism. It’s not just about the stereotypical alcoholic but for the invisible majority, the middle class drinkers, the people who are in control of their lives but with one significant exception that they have already concluded that their use of alcohol is excessive. These are the silent majority the ‘Sophisticated Alcoholics’. Nobody really knows how many there are but there is a suspicion that the number is very large indeed. People who come to see me privately for help with their own personal battles with alcohol are invariably members of this group. The book would be about a cure were alcoholism to be an illness instead of a behaviour but, instead it is about resolution, a permanent change of relationship between the person and the bottle so that alcohol ceases to retain any importance in a life. I belonged to this group for too many years and now I don’t. People can completely change their relationship with alcohol if they address the real issues lying behind and driving their actions because I and others have done so. Alcoholism, as it turns out has nothing to do with alcohol.

Who is behind the mask that we have learnt to wear in order to survive and function in the world? Who are we really, behind familial and social conditioning? If we are free from fear and the preoccupations that in the name of survival justify adaptation? Is it possible to be spontaneous and authentic, or is it just an infantile desire to leave behind us along with our dreams? This book tackles these themes and offers understanding and techniques for recognising our authentic Self, helping us to realise that behind the personality mask there is a mysterious universe, an ocean of potentiality, and that that is our true nature. Then the phrase “know yourself” will no longer just be an indication of philosophers and mystics, but will offer us the concrete possibility to ask the right questions, those that enable us to lift the veil that hides our true face and find peace and fulfilment.
