Ex-Royal Marine Commando Corporal John Stokes no longer fights to protect the freedoms of others. Now living and working in Dubai, he fights solely for his freedom - freedom from the UAE authorities who would have him accused of rape and murder. An accusation he vehemently denies. If caught, it would likely mean the death penalty - or killed by a hit squad! One man, Steve Reynolds, his friend and boss in Dubai (also ex-military), offers to help; but as Stokes will later discover, it comes at a dire cost!Review - June 2023"Hi Shane,I have just finished your excellent book. What a read! It certainly keeps one in suspense with the wonderful storyline. It is really ironic, but I am so familiar with most of the places in the book. I lived and worked in Dubai for 2 years. My family home was in Sevenoaks, and I grew up loving Royal Tunbridge Wells. Now of course I am a Thanet resident. What an amazing coincidence. I loved the pace of the book and the development of the characters. Certainly, there is a criminal underworld in Dubai, and it is good that this is highlighted. Positions of power, just like in so many other countries, are abused. It's funny how I could associate your chosen storyline in particular with countries in South America, especially with the ongoing drug issues.Look after yourself and I am sure that our paths will cross soon at an event.Kindest regards, Robin"Caught up in a criminal underworld of deceit, betrayal, and extreme violence, can Stokes free himself from his enemies - and his troubled and tormented mind? Or will a caring and loving woman named Mary ultimately be the one to set him free?Hard-hitting, gripping, sexy, erotic, funny, creepy, harrowing, terrifying, entertaining, action-packed drama! Not for the faint-hearted! Over 18's only!
