Chris LeDoux was a rodeo icon, known for his ability to ride bareback horses and a world championship. But Chris also had a talent with a guitar and an ability to put the life and thoughts of a rodeo cowboy into song. With the help of his family Chris started selling audio-cassettes out of his rigging bag at rodeos, just as a way to help pay his way down the road. Little did he or anyone else know that after he hung up his bareback rigging and stowed the rigging bag, that he would become a country music sensation, "e;Gold Buckle Dreams: The Life and Times of Chris LeDoux"e; tells not only of Chris's life growing up and on into rodeo, but is has been expanded to include his life after rodeo.Although Chris LeDoux and his music had a big following in rodeo, it was not until Garth Brooks mentioned LeDoux in a song, that the rest of the world discovered the man. When his career ended in rodeo, LeDoux found a second round of fame in the music world, where he gained an international following. Unfortunately his life ended prematurely, the legend and music of Chris LeDoux live on.

In 1878 Henry Ossian Flipper seemed destined for a long military career. Four years later, he was on trial at Fort Davis, Texas, for embezzlement of government funds and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. Found "e;not guilty"e; of the more serious charges of embezzlement, the nation's first black officer was court-martialed on the specious conduct charges. Thoroughly "e;humiliated, discouraged, and heartbroken,"e; Flipper would soon embark upon a career which in time would bring him more honor and fame than if he had remained in the military. One hundred years later, his name was cleared and the 1882 records of the black soldier were changed to reflect an honorable discharge. The remarkable story of Henry Ossian Flipper, a young man born to slavery on the eve of the Civil War, and his struggle for recognition has left its mark on our nation's history. Through extensive research of military documents, court records, appeals, and from Flipper's personal journals and published papers, "e;Henry Ossian Flipper: West Point's First Black Graduate"e; captures the sum and substance of a nation tom apart by political ambitions and extreme prejudices and reveals the uncertainty of acceptance and intolerance of blacks in America following Lincoln's 1863 Emancipation Proclamation. SUNSHINE ON THE PRAIRIE is the story of CYNTHIA ANN PARKER, captured by a band of Comanches as a nine-year-old while living in Fort Parker with her family. It was 24 years before she was "e;re-captured"e; by her "e;white family"e;. This is the intriguing story of why she did not want to be rescued from her Comanche family. During her 24-year captivity, she had become a wife to Nocona, the most feared of the Comanche war chiefs and the mother of Quanah, last and most famous of the Comanche war chiefs. Cynthia Ann adopted completely the lifestyle and culture of the Comanches. She endured their hardships and she also learned to love the freedom of the pristine wilderness.
