This is a true life story with necessary name changes. It describes the tragedies that have befallen 5 missing people since 2004 in the small coastal surfing village called Piha, Auckland, New Zealand. Women have been chased and hunted in the bush surrounding Piha, and more women have been drugged and raped. This book highlights the lack of action by police, taking too long to organise searches, and evidence of the police not believing witnesses. It covers complaints sent to the IPCA and about their misogynistic way of handling some of the rape victims. And how this treatment from the system sets up victims to fail in getting justice. Strap yourself in for an unbelievable learning experience. This information is all backed up by recorded telephone calls, texts and emails.

Revolution in Weight training this should really be the title of this book. Because the system promoted in this book, simply called Logic Load System, is the future of training and every single person that goes into a gym, from a beginner level up to a high performance athlete, will use it as an ultimate system of training, a complex tool to enhance their performances with a mathematical precision.Logic Load System presents the latest research in Weight training. Whether you are designing a Strength & Conditioning routine for a certain sport or a Bodybuilding session, Logic Load System will provide you with over 30 methods of manipulating the weight and the repetitions, with a mathematical precision, in order to give you the best results and also to build up and plan your sessions over a training cycle. If so far, athletes were just randomly added plates on the bar, usually when increasing from one set to another, with the same ratio, regardless the level of preparation, Logic Load System will teach you how to customize the weight and the repetitions according to your level (beginner or advanced athlete) and stage of preparation ( preparatory, precompetitional, competitional or transition). At the moment, most athletes are using mainly 2-3 methods of increasing and/or decreasing the weight from set to set :- increasing the weight every set- increasing the weight every second step - increasing and then decreasing the weight Moreover, the weight is increased with 5kg, 10kg, 15 or 20kg, as this is pretty much the weight of the plates in most gyms. Consequently, the athletes are expecting to gradually increase their overall effort which is often a false affirmation. If nobody asked themselves why increasing it with 5, 10, 15 or 20 kg, now is the time to do so, because there is nothing wrong with 4, 12, 16 or 18 kg (for example)Logic Load System will clearly explain you with practical examples and graphs why and how much to increase the weight and gradually increase the overall effort from set to set, instead of just randomly throw plates on the bar with no logic in it whatsoever and yet expecting the best results. There are no two athletes with perfectly the same level of fitness and therefore the training should be different from athlete to athlete. Increasing the weight with 30 kg has a different effect on a beginner athlete as opposed to an advanced athlete. Logic Load System will teach you how to customize the weight and the reps to fit your current level of preparation and to prepare you for further improvement. Now is the time to stop being a follower. It is the time to make it work for you and be in charge of your own progress. On the same note, most of the athletes are using the same patterns of repetitions when increasing the weight from set to set. A common pattern is 12 reps -10 reps 8 reps 6 reps. Whether you are aiming for strength, power or hypertrophy, this is regarded as being the universal answer to achieve the best results one pattern fits all purposes. To claim that 4 or 5 sets at a pattern of 12 reps 10 reps 8 reps 6 reps is the best pattern for EVERY athlete is totally illogic. To claim that there is only one way to achieve your goal, is more than irrational. To claim that increasing the weight from set to set with the same ratio, regardless the stage and the level of athletes preparation is totally ignorant. This approach has to change and Logic Load System is the only system in the world that will show you why and how to do it.Again, it is more than sure that is nothing wrong with a pattern of 11-9-7-5 reps, for example, but I very rarely saw athletes performing this pattern as we tend to perform a pattern of even number of repetitions, avoiding the odd numbers repetitions as being to odd As is not only how hard an athlete could train, but also how smart, Logic Load System will demonstrate you how many reps should be performed and, m

Louie the Bee is the story of an insect community residing along the bank of a stream. It is about how the insects learn to survive against various threats. The main threat is from humans who in the name of progress want to destroy the insects environment. There is humour with a light touch of A.A Milne but the story is modern with references to global warming and other 21st century issues. The story is entertaining and draws strong emotional responses from the reader. It is a story that is not easily forgotten and captures the imagination of a wide range of readers.

"In these well-thought out pages the reader will find a candid review of the history and current status of the Messianic movement. The issues, the dreams and the devotion of the Messianic followers are portrayed and reported with passion, clarity and raw honesty. As a professor of World Religions and History of Judaism, this work provides any student the insight needed to understand the precarious nature of this (and perhaps other) marginal religions in the world and what they go through in order to be able to express their convictions and practice their faith."Arlette Poland, J.D., Ph.D.

These poems were almost all written on the spur of the moment. I sat up at 2am tapping on the keyboard and when I had finished, the poem Insomnia wason the page. Bones (A True Dog Story) comes from the stories my father tellsof his hunting dog. The way he tells about the eel episode always brings alaugh. The Greatest Eagle, Under the Scorching sun and The Real Pharaoh allcome from my love of wild things. I Want to be a Sailor and When I put tosea came from my love of the sea and being on ships and boats. I wrote MyCountry, My Home while sitting on a cliff top overlooking the west coast ofNew Zealand, which also inspired The old Lady on the Hill. Changing Seasonswas the first piece I wrote and people who read it encouraged me to do more.A Life on the Land is about a friend of a friend. My favourite poem, The rising storm, was written during a particularly violentthunderstorm. I had to write it by torchlight as the power had gone out.I am the river comes from my love of fishing, as does Where the shadowslie. The saddest of all the poems in this collection, The Last Goodbye, isa tribute to a very good friend (who was also my first girlfriend) who waskilled in early 2010 aged 30. For some time now I have had a dream ofowning a motorbike. Hence Freedom on a Kickstand. Volcano comes froma documentary I was watching on White Island. Dad spent nearly 30 yearsworking on the railway. This supplied the inspiration for Riding on a Train, and Sitting on the platform. Battle of the River Plate came about because avery good friend suggested I write about a battle or event from history thathad not been put into poetry. In our dining room, when I was a child, was aphotograph of the HMNZS Achilles. The two themes seemed to go hand inhand. I kept as close to historical truth as possible on this one. I hope youenjoy. Which one is your favourite?

I had been a nurse for more than 2 decades and I witnessed 2 definite situations in the hospital or in the community either to recover or die. In this kind of situation I noticed various emotional and behavioral displays. For people who recovers it is a celebration of life but for a dying person, fear, struggles, anxiety, screaming, yelling for help sets in and the joy, rest, peace with great expectations begun to marvel. Why?I was 9 years old sickly, frail and scared of death wanting to go to heaven but I dont know how? I recovered and I was glad but still with a big question how will I go to heaven? I was clueless. While I was still a nursing student assigned in a hospital, I heard someone screaming loudly, I dont want to go. I saw a big muscled man struggling and fighting with no one around. Few hours later I discovered that he died of internal bleeding with wide open eyes and mouth. A sign of struggle? Why?

Set in New Zealands beautiful Golden Bay region, Korimako is a story of unanticipated love and new beginnings.Mike Robinson, recently retired and widowed, decides to restart his life and build a log house in Puponga, a remote settlement at the base of Farewell Spit. The collection starts with The Now Time, a poem I wrote in an effort to comprehend Time in relation to Self, and to propose advice to myself and the world about the magic of living in the moment. The next poem, Image of Self, gives meaning to true Image development. Further on, I write of personal experiences in a creative story-telling style. I offer romance in The Nature of Love, while Heart and Soul also tells of three characters Heart, Soul and Princess and how they work out their differences.I wrote Destiny of Pain and Life of Pain while I was five months in hospital recovering from a near-fatal car accident.I touch on the spirit, as we know life can be a difficult journey. My collection offers insight and inspiration. I hope you enjoy the reading. My kind thoughts go out to you all.

At 14 years old I had left home and high school. I was living on a $150 aweek student allowance. I was useless in the kitchen and I knew absolutelynothing about the importance of keeping up with my bill payments. I becamea student at a Hairdressing Academy and had to take out a $10,000 studentloan to complete the course. I was the only one out of about 30 to get ahairdressing apprenticeship. I worked really hard towards finishing mydiploma while working, which took me about three years. At the age of 17I was a senior hairdresser making a decent wage for a girl my age. After 4years of hairdressing I decided to have a career change. I took up a travel andtourism course, which focused on flight attending. I had always wanted to bea flight attendant.

I still remember at one of the free-willed topic storieswe were required to write at that time. I got an A+ for that storythat came with a comment saying, Keep writing, it will be a wasteif you stop! Today Im grateful for her inspiration. Otherwise Iwont be where Im today publishing my own book.I love drawing since I was ten. Sometimes I like drawing cartooncharacters such as Garfield, Tweety Bird and Bugs Bunny. Atother times I like drawing just plants, flowers or trees.
