Bernadette Watts – illustratör

One of the best-loved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in the world, illustrated by the legendary European artist Bernadette Watts. Hansel and Gretel are abandoned in the dark forest by their wicked mother who is unable to feed them. Hungry and lost, they stumble upon a house made of delicious cakes and bread. But the witch that lives inside is not as sweet as her tasty house, and soon Hansel and Gretel are facing the witch’s oven. Can the children’s cleverness save them from the witch and reunite them with their father? From the blues of the dark forest to the reds of the candies lining the gingerbread house, this unabridged story reimagined by Bernadette’s bold and illustrative brush strokes will leave one’s mouth watering for more.
