Taste and See is a beautifully illustrated book that helps children discover God’s goodness through the story of food in the Bible and the greater story of redemption in Jesus.Written by Irene Sun and illustrated by Hannah Y. Lu, this lyrical picture book uses the theme of hunger and feasting to guide children through Scripture, from the fruit in the garden and manna in the wilderness to bread and fish by the Sea of Galilee and the marriage supper of the Lamb. Set as a narrative poem to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” it offers young readers a memorable way to see how God provides for his people and satisfies their deepest needs.Created for ages 4–7, Taste and See helps children understand that the truest fulfillment of their hunger is found in Jesus, whose love and sacrifice are remembered in the bread and wine of the gospel story. Part of the Biblical Theology for Kids series, it also includes a resource page for parents, making it a strong choice for families who want to introduce big biblical themes in a way that is accessible, Christ-centered, and easy to revisit.
