*Description* This three-volume reference presents the recent advances in pharmaceutical applications of natural polymers derived from plant, marine, microbial, and animal sources. The beginning of each volume includes a list of abbreviations used in it. Each chapter begins with an abstract that provides an overview of its contents.*Purpose* The objective is to provide an update on recent research on the application of natural polymers in pharmaceutical preparations. Polymers have become an integral part of pharmaceutical preparations.
