Managing Falls in Adult Day Services

Part of a comprehensive training series, this CD-ROM addresses issues unique to adult day services. The valuable tool will assist in training staff about the causes and consequences of falls, intervention strategies to reduce falls, and a falls prevention program. Based on the work of experienced gerontologist Rein Tideiksaar, the CD-ROM contains a PowerPoint presentation for effective staff training. Also included are a wealth of screening and assessment tools; guidelines for a basic falls prevention program; and educational handouts for families and staff. All documents are included in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
