By understanding the history of how these devices were developed, the limitations of the current proxy measures of sleep, and the inherent bias in validation studies of the most popular devices used today, readers can learn about what to realistically expect from device performance. This book comprehensively explains how sleep trackers work, how they can be evaluated by users, and how they can be used in practice.

This book delves into the mental and occupational stress of pink-collar workers. A pink-collar worker is a person employed in a care-related profession or in an area that has traditionally been seen as the domain of women. Examples include jobs in the beauty business, nursing, social work, education, teaching, secretarial work, upholstery, or child care. To help with the financial burdens of their family, pink-collar workers engage in their job for at least 8 to 10 hours a day, which often leads to sacrificing their time with their family. Additionally, pink-collar works face many barriers like emotional labor (e.g., dealing with patients or clients), workload, interpersonal conflicts, and job insecurity. This book endeavors to study the physical stressors and mental stress of pink-collar workers so that new policies can be framed or suggested for the wellness of pink-collar workers.

This book is about suicidal behavior in Bangladesh. The book aims to be a comprehensive book on suicidal behavior in Bangladesh, based on existing evidence and expertise covering epidemiology, sources of quality data, local culture, forensic and legal aspects, health and mental health care, media and suicide, crisis management system, suicide prevention, and status of evidence in the country.  This book is the first of its kind to address multiple aspects of suicidal behavior in Bangladesh.
