After completing an MA in International Relations and the Environment, Allan Shepherd headed off to the great wilderness of Wales and never returned. He has been lost in the valleys ever since, leading the life of an environmental pioneer. He is a passionate advocate of practical organics and has helped to create two award-winning gardens at BBC Gardeners' World Live.
