For this alone the book is commendable...it goes beyond collecting work that has already been done and seeks to provide a vision for the discipline...Here the reader gains full appreciation for how the neglect of philosophical concern with chemistry might have implications...perhaps even changing what we conceive the field of the philosophy of science to be about.
