He graduated from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago. After a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, he was a faculty member there for many years and taught at Harvard Medical School. Since 1998 he has been at Mayo Clinic, and he is a consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and an Associate Professor in the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. The book is well written and ideal for a general medical audience wanting to enhance their knowledge in gastroenterology and hepatology without being lost in a detailed very specialised large textbook. I am sure this book will appeal to a global audience. This book represents reasonable value for money and if you are going to use it often then excellent value for money.
