Procurement of Utilities

Matthew Collinson is a barrister and solicitor, working in the Projects and Transactional Services Department of Pinsent Masons LLP. Prior to this he was Legal Advisor to the Inexus Group, the UK's largest independent network business. He was also an associate of Waters Wye Associates, a leading independent energy consultancy, and a consultant adviser to the AIGT and the CNA, the national representative organisations for non-ex stautory gas and electricity network operators. He has worked with utilities, regulators, local authorities, developers and contractors at all levels of the supply chain.

This first edition of Procurement of Utilities: Law and Practice is to be welcomed. It is well-researched and presents the law in a coherent and straight-forward way. It impressively brings, for the first time, the key principles which non-specialists may need to know before tackling utilities (or advising entities wanting to procure utilities). It is hoped that a second edition will follow which will build on the excellent first edition.
