Mer komplett och sakligt kan man nog inte beskriva alla dessa små och stora skivbolag, talangscouter, producenter, distributörer, discjockeys, m.m. som under 1940 -1960-talen specialiserad sig på att ge ut rhythm and blues, blues, rock'n'roll eller på annat sätt spred musikformerna. Ett standardverk som knappast kommer att överträffas.
