The Indigenous peoples of the Lesser Antilles used the sea and waterways to sow a diaspora across the Caribbean basin and beyond. Their histories all-too-often reflect colonial viewpoints and stereotypes dating back to the region's imperial era. Paula Prescod edits a collection of studies that examine the intermingling and interdependencies of indigenous Caribbean populations and the groups they encountered following the European conquest of the Americas.
