    Santosh Kumar Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at Panjab University, India, with over 16 years of experience in Plant Science. His research focuses on green synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and key defense-related proteins, as well as long non-coding RNAs involved in stress responses. He has made significant contributions to plant defense and genome editing research. Dr. Upadhyay has received prestigious awards including the INSA Associate Fellowship and the INSA Medal for Young Scientist. Dr. Shumayla is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. She has been working in the area of plant molecular biology and plant biotechnology from past 5 years. She has identified and characterized various sub families of receptor-like kinase (RLK), such as lectin receptor kinases, leucine-rich receptor like kinases, Cysteine-rich receptor like kinases etc. in bread wheat. She has authored more than 10 publications including research articles in peer reviewed international journals and book chapters. She is also an editorial reviewer in the frontiers of bioinformatics and computational biology.
