Japan and China

HANNS G. HILPERT is senior research associate at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin. Between 1999 and 2001 he worked for the German Institute for Japanese Studies in Tokyo. Previously he was senior economist at the research center Japan/ Asia at the ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich. His areas of interest include: foreign trade, FDI, Asia-pacific cooperation and integration and the Japanese Economy. He has published widely in German on the Japanese economy and East Asia.
