He is the editor of the Journal of Policy History, and author of The Conservative Ascendancy: How the GOP Right Made Political History.Emilie Raymond is Assistant Professor of History at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She is the author of From My Cold, Dead Hands: Charlton Heston and American Politics.
