Dr. Munesh Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forestry & Natural Resources at the Uttarakhand campus of H.N.B. Garhwal University. His research interests include forestry, Himalayan biodiversity, climate change, carbon sequestration, and carbon fluxes. He is a guest editor for Land and Frontiers in Environmental Science. Dr. Sunita Devi holds B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. degrees from CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India. She is pursuing her career as a Teacher/Researcher at Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni-Solan (HP), India, in the field of Microbiology. Her research interests encompass Microbial Enzyme Biotechnology, Environmental, and Agricultural Microbiology. Throughout her academic journey, she has received notable recognition, including University merit scholarships and the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (UGC, Govt. of India) during her M.Sc. and Ph. D. programs, respectively. As a mentor, she has guided four M.Sc. Students and supervising four Ph.D. candidates. With a substantial scholarly output, Dr. Devi has published 36 research papers, 16 book chapters, and 34 popular articles. She has also filed two patents and successfully completed three projects as Principal Investigator, along with two projects as Co-Principal Investigator. Additionally, she has authored a book with Cambridge Scholars Publishing and has another book under publication with Bentham Science Publishers, Netherlands. Noteworthy achievements include the development of a novel plate assay method for the screening of bacterial keratinases. Dr. Devi has received several awards, such as the Kanwar Virender Singh Memorial All India Best Publication Award and the Uma Datt Mamgain Memorial Research Award in2021. She was also honored with the Jagar Nath Raina Memorial All India Best Publication Award in2018. In recognition of her contributions, she received the Young Faculty Award in 2018 from EETCRS Top List - 25 Awards at Hyderabad.Dr. Krishan Lal Gautam completed his B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. degrees from Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan – Himachal Pradesh. Now working as Young Professional II in Department of Tree Improvement and Genetic Resources, at Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni-Solan (HP), India. He has been honored with several prestigious awards in recognition of his scholarly contributions and academic excellence. Some of the notable awards received by him include: ISAF (Indian Society of Agroforestry) Best Paper Award (2022), Best Poster Presentation Award: at the 4th National conference of SVAHE-22 (2022) held at CSKHPKV, Palampur, India, and registration and travel grant to attend 4th World Congress on Agroforestry 2019 in France.He is credited with 4 book chapters, 18 research and review papers, and 10 extension articles. His research articles cover topics such as nutrient management in agroecosystems, evaluation of fodder resources, Ethnoveterinary practices of Western Himalayas and livestock scenarios in mountainous terrains. Dr. Rohit Bishist, Associate Professor (Veterinary Sciences) in the Department of Silviculture and Agroforestry, College of Forestry, Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan – Himachal Pradesh. He did his MVSc and PhD in the discipline of Livestock Production and Management from National Dairy Research Institute Karnal Haryana. He has fourteen years’ experience in teaching, research and extension. He is associated with teaching undergraduate and post graduate students in the college of forestry and horticulture. He has guided 18 MSc students in the discipline of Agroforestry as major advisor and 30 MSc and PhD students as co advisor. He has handled 7 externally funded projects as Co-PI and is PI in All India coordinated Research Project on Agroforestry. He has 46 research and review articles, 4 book chapters, 30 extension and technical bulletins to his credit.
