    Beskrivning

Nanocellulose from Agricultural Biomass: Fundamentals, Performance, and Applications provides an extensive exploration of advances in deriving nanocellulose from renewable agricultural resources. The book covers the entire spectrum, from the origins and significance of agricultural biomass to traditional and modern isolation methods, including chemical, mechanical, chemomechanical and enzymatic routes. It examines the morphology, structure and properties of nanocellulose and the sustainable, cost-effective production techniques that make agricultural feedstocks an attractive alternative to chemically produced material, before addressing surface modification, functionalization and composite fabrication with thermoplastic and thermosetting matrices.

Organised into fundamentals, fabrication and applications, the book explores cutting-edge uses in biomedical materials, electronics, environmental remediation, structural applications, packaging, 3D printing and propellants, supported by detailed case studies, performance evaluations and cost analysis. It is designed for researchers, industry professionals and postgraduate students working with natural fibres, nanocellulose and polymer composites and interested in sustainable product development.

    • Covers nanocellulose from agricultural biomass end to end, from synthesis to applications
    • Focuses on affordable, sustainable production, addressing the full route from isolation to composite fabrication
    • Provides detailed characterization, performance evaluation and case studies of nanocellulose innovations
    • Examines environmental, economic and commercial aspects, including comparison with commercial alternatives
    • Highlights challenges and future opportunities across diverse engineering applications
