    Sanford Friedenthal. Sanford Friedenthal is an industry leader and independent consultant in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). He was formerly a Technical Fellow at Lockheed Martin, where he led the effort to enable Model-Based Systems Development (MBSD) and other advanced practices across the company. Dr. Friedenthal has been a leader of the industry standards effort through the Object Management Group (OMG) and INCOSE to develop the Systems Modeling Language (OMG SysML ®) that was adopted by the OMG in 2007. He is co-author of ‘A Practical Guide to SysML’ and ‘Architecting Spacecraft with SysML’. Dr. Friedenthal more recently co-led the effort to develop the next generation of SysML (v2) and co-chairs the OMG Systems Modeling Community (SMC) to further advance systems modeling practices. Ed Seidewitz is Chief Technology Officer at Model Driven Solutions, Inc., a long-time provider of systems modeling and semantic technology services. Dr. Seidewitz has extensive background in software and systems technologies and leading expertise in modeling languages and methodologies. He has 40 years of professional experience with the modeling, architecture and development of systems spanning diverse domains including aerospace, finance, acquisition and health care. He has been active with the Object Management Group (OMG) for 25 years, including involvement in the standardization of the Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Foundational UML (fUML) and Action Language for Foundational UML (Alf). He was co-leader of the SysML v2 Submission Team and is currently co-chair of the OMG Systems Modeling Community (SMC), leader of the SMC Reference Implementation Working Group and co-chair of the Kernel Modeling Language (KerML) and SysML v2 Revision Task Forces.
