Huw Pryce is Professor in History at the University of Bangor. In addition to numerous articles and chapters, mainly on medieval Welsh history, his publications include Native Law and the Church in Medieval Wales (1993) and the edited collections Yr Arglwydd Rhys (with Nerys Ann Jones, 1996) and Literacy in Medieval Celtic Societies (1998). Since 2003 he has been joint editor of The Welsh History Review.
