This second edition provides discussion on the diverse roles of electrochemical technology in today's industry. The intention is to emphasize that the applications, though extremely diverse, all are based on the same principles of electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering. This edition contains up-to-date information, with some of the chapters being largely altered in view of progress in the industry in both improved technology and completely new processes and devices. An extra chapter on electrochemical sensors has been added since the previous edition. The topics relating to the industry are separated into various chapters and discussed. These topics include fundamental concepts through the chlor-alkali industry to electrochemical sensors and monitoring techniques.
