Margaret Hathaway is the author of Living with Goats, The Year of the Goat, and Food Lovers' Guide to Maine. She lives with her husband, photographer Karl Schatz, and their two children on a homestead in southern Maine, where they raise dairy goats and poultry, tend a large garden and small orchard, make cheese.
