The dictionary portion of the text covers the places, people, alliances, battles, and weaponry associated with ancient Greek warfare. Thus, the work is an excellent resource for information on specific wars…specific individuals…on places…on ancient military hardware, weapons, and tactics....For coverage of ancient Greek warfare, no other work provides this depth of detail…Academic libraries that support programs in classics or military history will definitely want to purchase this work.
