Michael A. Genovese is professor of political science and director of the Institute for Leadership Studies at Loyola Marymount University. He is the associate editor of the journal White House Studies and the author of numerous books, including The Paradoxes of the American Presidency and The encyclopaedia of the American Presidency, Facts-on File.
