A new way for historians and anthropologists to study both prophets and prophecy.The purpose of this book is to move towards a clearer understanding of the history of prophets within the region of East Africa, and to give an analytical account of the different forms prophecy has taken over the years from placeto place. The book takes a new look at the active dialogue between the prophets and the communities whom they addressed.
