This collection brings together perspectives from early-career LGBTQ+ scholars as they navigate the scholarly publishing landscape, highlighting their experiences and challenges in providing greater representation within the academic community and existing scholarship. Sharon McCulloch is a senior lecturer in language and education in the School of Psychology and Humanities at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK. Her research interests lie in EAP and academic literacies, especially how second language student writers learn to write and the ways in which institutional and social contexts, including gender and geolinguistic status, affect professional academic writers.
