      Geoffrey Scarre is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Durham University, with research interests in death, ethics, and posterity.Rick Whitefield is a Junior Research Fellow at St John’s College, Durham University in Theology and Research Associate of the Centre for Death and Life Studies with interests in anthropology, memory, and mourning.
