Alex Kelly is a Speech and Language Therapist with over 35 years’ experience of working with both children and adults with a learning disability and specialises in working with children around social communication. She set up Alex Kelly Ltd in 2009, providing training and consultancy work in social communication around the UK and abroad. She is also the Founder of Speaking Space Ltd., which provides speech and language therapy and day opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. Alex is the creator of the bestselling ‘Talkabout’ resources and author of Working with Adults with a Learning Disability.Naomi Pearson is a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with 26 years’ experience working in both the NHS and independent sectors. Naomi completed a PhD in 2024 investigating the effectiveness of the Talkabout programme. She is also the Managing Director of Speaking Space (Romsey) Ltd., based in Hampshire.
