    Beskrivning

This book is an essential companion for those leading and managing large-scale, long-term digital transformation in higher education institutions. As colleges and universities work to meet today’s accelerated need for digital capabilities, those leading and managing digital change and transformation projects must account for complex measures of success. Challenges often include integrating the affordances of new technologies, navigating complex digital ecosystems, meeting tight timelines, managing limited budgets, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders seeking input. All of these, and more, must be successfully navigated to ensure the project's delivery and, importantly, to deliver on the institution’s vision and strategy for digital success. This book explores the attributes of an effective digital transformation leader; considerations for project design, management, and evaluation; the ethical and effective use of learner and user analytics; and the major rollout stages, including operational considerations, change management, staff development and institutional adoption. Chapters are supported by action-oriented cases, drawing from current practice and theory, to offer digital transformation leaders and managers examples that demonstrate success and impact across institutions of all sizes.
