Recensioner i media
"This casebook is a compelling reflection of how lasting value is created through disciplined alliance management, a shared commitment to growth, and ecosystem thinking. It demonstrates that the most successful partnerships are founded on trust, mutual investment, and a relentless focus on client outcomes rather than transactional gain. The lessons and practitioner experiences captured throughout resonate strongly with my own experience leading strategic alliances within the professional services sector, where alliances have become a critical enabler of innovation, transformation, and sustainable growth, creating lasting value for clients, people, and society.”Mark Maresch, Director AI Alliances, PwC LLP"Most alliance books hand you a framework or a playbook and call it wisdom. Mike Nevin lets real practitioners talk: their deals, their calls under pressure, the partnerships that worked and the ones that didn't. The result is a book without silver bullets but with genuine learning."Pablo Hanono, Books of the Channel Founder“Most alliance writing is theory. Flywheels and force multipliers that executives don’t want to keep looking at in the AI-era. Mike Nevin's Strategic Alliance Casebook is evidence. Two dozen detailed practitioner accounts all mapped against his 52 Common Success Factors and built on a consistent template so readers can compare across industries. The closing forecast on networked ecosystems, sovereign alliances, and AI lines up with what I track across channel partnerships and the Decade of the Ecosystem. Alliance professionals need to read this and benchmark their own portfolios against it.”Jay McBain, Chief Analyst – Alliances, Channels, Partnerships & Ecosystems - Omdia“The real gift of this book is the way it makes sense of complexity. Beneath the stories sits a clear analytical spine — the success factors, maturity models and acceleration thinking refined over two decades — and the cases bring those frameworks vividly to life. That combination of structure and story is what makes the lessons stick. Crucially, none of this comes at the expense of readability. This is the rare reference work you will want to actually read, rather than merely shelve.”Helen Ricardo, SVP Global Market Engagement, Avenga"No two legal cases are identical. Engineers rarely build the same solution twice. Every surgery presents its own circumstances and complications. Strategic alliances are no different. While principles matter, every alliance unfolds in a unique context shaped by people, markets, technology, and timing. The greatest preparation comes from learning the experiences of others. Mike Nevin's Strategic Alliance Casebook offers precisely that, a rich collection of hard-won lessons from practitioners who have successfully navigated the complexities of collaboration."Nicole Boston, CAE, CA-AM, President & CEO, Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP)“Most alliance books are written by leaders who have watched partnerships fail from a very safe distance. Here is one that bucks that trend documenting the experiences of the people who were in the room when it got awkward. Nevin’s contributors; lawyers-turned-alliance-leads, engineers who named strategies after marine invertebrates, practitioners who survived seven CEOs in three years tell you what actually happened. The Atos–SAP near-death experience alone is worth the cover price. Honest, sharp, and mercifully free of frameworks that explain nothing.”Mike Hobday, Associate Partner, Veles Consulting Ltd “AI is accelerating, geopolitics is destabilising markets, and incumbents need entrepreneurial partners more than ever. This casebook cuts through the noise and shows how alliances become the engine of resilience and transformation.”Lucy Dimes, Ex Head of Strategic Partnerships BT plc and Non executive Director at Babcock International Group
