Christian Muñoz-Sánchez holds a PhD in Economics, Management and Innovation Policy from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), and a PhD in Administrative Sciences from the Higher School of Commerce and Administration (ESCA), Santo Tomás Unit of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), graduating with Honors. He also holds a Master of Science in Administration, with a specialization in Innovation Management and Technological Development, also awarded with Honors, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Administration, both from the Interdisciplinary Professional Unit of Engineering and Social and Administrative Sciences (UPIICSA) of the IPN.He completed research stays at the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement, College of Business, Law and Social Sciences, University of Derby, United Kingdom. With over15 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors, Dr. Muñoz-Sánchez has an extensive publication record, including research articles and book chapters at national and international levels. He has led projects on supply chain management in Mexico’s aerospace industry and has presented at national and international conferences. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (SECIHTI), and serves as a council member of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN) and the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) Network. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Master of Science in Business Administration (MAN) at the ESCA Santo Tomás Unit of the IPN.His areas of expertise include operations management, OPEX, sustainability transitions, innovation theory, sustainable development, technological capabilities, sustainable mobility, green and sustainable manufacturing, complex product systems, lean management, Lean Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, total quality management, business process reengineering, and innovation systems.Luis Rocha-Lona is a senior lecturer at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Mexico, and a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, SNI). He holds a PhD in Operations Management from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Control Systems from The University of Sheffield, and a BEng in Automation and Control Systems from IPN. With over 20 years of professional experience across public and private sectors, Dr. Rocha- Lona has led research projects funded by the Mexican government, IPN and the British Academy in collaboration with the University of Derby for the project “Adoption of Green Technologies and Sustainability Standards for Emerging Economies: The Case of Mexico.” Since then, he has strengthened UK– Mexico academic collaboration through international forums, conferences, research publications, and postgraduate student mobility. He currently serves as organizer and academic lead of international forums and the multi- edition International Conference on Organizational Sustainability. These initiatives promote global dialogue on sustainable production, consumption, and technological transformation.In his academic role, he teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervises doctoral research, and serves as a peer reviewer for international journals indexed in the most prestigious databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. He previously held teaching appointments at Universidad Iberoamericana and Tecnológico de Monterrey where he enhanced teaching/ academic skills at graduate and postgraduates levels. In addition to his academic career, he gained professional industry experience at Siemens México where we worked for some years at several engineering projects in the energy and automation sectors. Throughout his professional trajectory, he has also collaborated with more than 25 leading companies and institutions across the public and private sectors.Finally, Dr. Rocha- Lona is an author and co- author of books, book chapters, and peer- reviewed journal articles indexed in leading international databases in Scopus and Web of Science. His work focuses on supporting business sustainability through OPEX and technological innovation, fostering integrated collaboration among academia, industry, and government.Jose Arturo Garza-Reyes is a reader in Operations Management and Business Excellence at the Derby Business School, the University of Derby, United Kingdom. He holds a PhD in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management from the University of Manchester (UK), an MBA from the University of Northampton (UK), an MSc in Production and Quality from the Autonoma de Nuevo Leon University (Mexico), a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the University of Derby (UK), and a BSc in Mechanical Management Engineering from the Autonoma de Nuevo Leon University (Mexico). He has published a number of articles in leading international journals such as the International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning & Control, Journal of Cleaner Production, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, among others. Jose Arturo has also published over 60 articles in leading international conferences and two books in the areas of manufacturing performance measurement systems and quality management systems. Jose Arturo has participated as leading guest editor for special issues in Production Planning & Control, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Lean Six Sigma, International Journal of Lean Enterprise Research, International Journal of Engineering Management and Economics, and International Journal of Engineering and Technology Innovation. He is currently serving on the editorial board of several leading international journals and has also contributed as a member of the scientific and organizing committees in a number of international conferences. Jose Arturo is also the co- founder and editor of the International Journal of Supply Chain and Operations Resilience (Inderscience). He has also led and managed international research projects funded by the British Academy, British Council and Mexico’s National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). His research interests include general aspects of operations and manufacturing management, business excellence, operations and quality improvement, and performance measurement. Jose Arturo is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a certified Six Sigma- Green Belt, and has over six years of industrial experience working as Production Manager, Production Engineer, and Operations Manager for several international and local companies in both the United Kingdom and Mexico. He is also a fellow member of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology (MIET).Daniel Luiz de Mattos Nascimento is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona. Additionally, he is currently Associate Editor of the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma (IJLSS), Member of the Editorial Review Board of Smart and Sustainable Built Environment (SASBE), and serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Business (IJGAIB).He holds an h- index of 17 in Scopus with over 2012 citations and 20 in Google Scholar with over 3,262 citations to his work. Additionally, he has collaborated with globally renowned researchers in areas such as climate impact management, sustainability, Lean management, and Industry 4.0. International collaborations account for more than 65% of his published works, reflecting the global reach and significance of his contributions. With over 12 years of teaching experience, Dr. Mattos has delivered more than 1,500 hours of lectures, with a clear focus on digital transformation, interoperability, and sustainability in operations and supply chains. He has designed and coordinated innovative courses, supervised more than 16 undergraduate and master’s theses, and is currently supervising three doctoral theses while co- supervising three others. His teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering innovation and academic excellence.Fernando Gonzalez Aleu holds a BS in Mechanical and Management Engineering from UDEM, an MS from ITESM in 1999, and an MS and PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) from Virginia Tech, awarded in 2015 and 2016, respectively. He has over 25 years of experience at UDEM, where he teaches and conducts research on OPEX, having produced one book, 13 journal papers, 30 conference proceedings, and two guest editor papers. Prior industry experience includes 15 years of implementing quality, environmental, and management systems in Mexico and Chile. He is a member of the Institute of ISE, the ASEM, the ASQ, and the IEOM society. Some of the honorary and service positions developed by Fernando include the Board of Directors of Quality and Patient Safety at Christus Health (2018– 2024) and the Board of Directors at Society for Engineering and Management Systems (2018– 2021).
