Beskrivning
This volume examines how education, business, and law together shape the European Union's ability to stay sustainable, innovative, and resilient amid overlapping global challenges.Drawing on empirical research from authors based in Croatia, Poland, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Romania, Spain and Georgia, the twenty-one chapters trace three interconnected pillars. On the education side, they cover the internationalisation and quality assurance of higher education, sustainability in curricula, entrepreneurial leadership, and service-learning. On the business side, the volume examines the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and European Sustainability Reporting Standards, the shift from Global Reporting Initiative-based reporting, external assurance of sustainability disclosures, green consumption, family-business competitiveness, Industry 4.0 in accounting, and robotic process automation. On the law and governance side, contributors address the European Education Area, democratic resilience against disinformation, the EU AI Act, cross-border legal parenthood, and digital nomadism. A concluding chapter draws these strands into an Education–Law–Business framework and a set of policy pathways for the second half of the 2020s.The book will interest students and scholars of European studies, sustainability reporting, higher education, business, and EU law and governance, as well as policymakers, university leaders and practitioners working on the EU's competitiveness and resilience agenda.
