Crime–Terror Nexus

This edited volume responds to the need for updated conceptual tools and fresh analytical approaches to critically examine the evolving intersections between organised crime and political violence in a rapidly shifting global landscape.The volume develops a comparative account of the contemporary crime–terror nexus around two central claims: that relationships between political violence and organised crime can stabilise into divergent and durable forms, and that the state increasingly helps produce the categories through which crime and terrorism are distinguished.
