Nancy J. Nersessian is Regents' Professor of Cognitive Science Emerita at Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Fellow and former President of the Cognitive Science Society. Nancy is recipient of the Patrick Suppes Prize in Philosophy of Science for Creating Scientific Concepts (2008) and author of Interdisciplinarity in the Making: Models and Methods in Frontier Science (2022), shortlisted for the Inaugural Nayef Al-Rodan Prize in Transdisciplinary Philosophy. Lisa M. Osbeck is a Professor of Psychology at the University of West Georgia. She is a past recipient of the William James Book award from the American Psychological Association for her co-authored work Science as Psychology: Sense-Making and Identity in Science Practice (2010). She is the author of Values in Psychological Science (2019) and co-author of Ever Not Quite: Pluralism(s) in William James and Contemporary Psychology (2023). Lisa has previously served as President of the Society for General Psychology and Associate Editor for Qualitative Psychology.
