Beskrivning
Twenty-Five Years of GOP Presidential Nominations examines the recent presidential nominees of the Republican Party. The author explores the idea that the presidential defeats of Republican nominees begin with the primary election choice of a moderate candidate in hopes that the chosen candidate's conservative rhetoric will translate into a general election victory. Written in a unique and dynamic style, this book details the recent history of the party's successes and failures through notable figures such as George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole.

Recensioner i media

"Volle's Twenty-Five Years of GOP Presidential Nominations represents a continuation of his penetrating and dynamic examinations of American politics. I enjoyed and profited from his earlier works, and I continue to find his insights very valuable. The arc of his writing with discussions of politicians as different as Goldwater, Clinton and Gore displays continued growth, maturity, and a deeper comprehension of the subtleties and nuances of American politics. His is a voice that readers of all stripes and colors will find engaging, challenging, and worthy of their consideration. This book will enjoy broad appeal." - David Adler, President, Sun Valley Institute, USA
