RICARDO FFRENCH-DAVIS is Principal Advisor of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and Professor of Economics at the University of Chile; Co-Directs with Joseph Stiglitz and Deepak Nayyar the 'Macroeconomic Task Force' of the Initiative for Policy Dialogue (University of Columbia) launched by Joseph Stiglitz. Ffrench-Davis was Chief Economist of the Central bank of Chile and Director of the Centre for Economic Research on Latin America (CIEPLAN).
