FRANK MCDONALD is Professor of International Business Strategy at the University of Plymouth. He has co-authored books in the area of European and International Business and been published in numerous journals. His current research interests are the impact on host locations of the strategic development of subsidiaries and the contribution of clusters/industrial districts to international competetiveness. He is also a member of the executive committee and treasurer of the UK Chapter of the Academy of International Business. - TREVOR BUCK is Research Professor of Business Policy in the Department of Strategy and Management in the Leicester Business School, DeMontfort University. He has been published extensively in journals over the past five years. His main research interests are executive remuneration in the US, UK and Germany, enterprize strategies among privatised firms of the former Soviet Union, and Business History. - MICHAEL MAYER is a reader in Strategic Management at the University of Edinburgh and received his doctorate from the University of Warwick, UK. Michael is co-author of The European Corporation and has published in several journals. His current research interests include the relationship between strategy and organization.
