Joshua Levinson is Professor Emeritus of Hebrew Literature at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and author of The Twice Told Tale: A Poetics of the Exegetical Narrative in Rabbinic Midrash. He is the co-editor, with Orit Bashkin, of Jews and Journeys: Travel and the Performance of Jewish Identity, also available from the University of Pennsylvania Press.
